Family Counselling

Are there times when you think your family isn’t functioning very well?  Do you have difficulties knowing how to parent your adolescent and think it would help to have someone to talk to?  Family Counselling will offer each member of the family an opportunity to talk about what is happening and how things might work better. 

The counsellor is there to assist all family members in negotiating a win/win solution to the issues, and to help the family members communicate more effectively and have a deeper understanding of the other’s feelings and concerns.

Family Counselling may be useful in resolving issues related to:

• Adolescent Behaviour
• Separation/Divorce
• Stepfamilies
• Grief and Loss
• Sibling Issues (both as children and adults)
• Parenting Difficulties
• Planning for Elderly Relatives
• Communication Issues

Appointments are available during the day or evening, and are typically one hour in length.
