Joy Lang, M.S.W., R.S.W.

Joy Lang, MSW, RSW

Joy started in the field of social work after graduating from Ryerson University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Social Work degree.  She started her career working for a number of child protection agencies in Southern Ontario, working as both an investigator and case manager. 

She moved to the Waterloo Region in 1997, where she was employed by Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region as an intake worker.  In July 2000, she became a child protection supervisor.

Joy returned to school and achieved her Master of Social Work degree from Flinders University, in Australia.  She is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). 

During the course of her career, Joy has worked with a variety individuals, couples and families and groups, including families of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities, including same-sex couples. 

Joy is particularly interested and experienced in working with couples struggling with marital difficulties, stepfamilies, and individuals who are looking to make changes in their lives.
