Monica began her career working with young adult volunteers in a national program known as Katimavik. Since then she has continued to work with children and families in a variety of settings, including; young offender and children’s mental health services, child protection and family violence. Monica received her Honours BA in Psychology in 1976 and her Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1990. She is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Monica has an Advanced Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation and is a member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators. Monica lives in Waterloo with her family, and is an active volunteer with YMCA Cross Cultural Services, the Center for Research in Health and Education Services and Community Justice Services. Currently Monica practices mediation and does consulting working with social agencies. Her interests are ESL, tutoring in Canada and overseas as well as hiking. |
