Sherri attended Dalhousie University studying history and neuroscience from 1993-1996. She focused her studies in child psychopathology and perceptual process. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology at the University of Waterloo in 2001. Sherri completed her Master of Social Work at Flinders University in Australia in 2009.

Sherri has specialized in working with children throughout her career. She has studied trauma and loss in children (The National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children) and Play Therapy (Canadian Association of Child and Play Therapy). In addition, she has worked in child welfare and other settings helping children and their families deal with a variety very difficult situations.

At Cardinal Counselling, Sherri offers play therapy and other non verbal therapy for children and adolescents. She also offers counselling to adolescents and adults who prefer non verbal forms of communication and expression and treatment for trauma and loss issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
